This thesis, entitled Intra-Christian Migration and Pastoral Challenges in the Indian Context, explores the complex spiritual and social landscape of Syro-Malabar Catholic migration in the Indian subcontinent with special referance to the Diocese of Faridabad, Delhi. The study views migration as a profound theological event, with its framework based on the concept of God as a primordial migrant (deus migrator) and biblical narratives such as the call of Abraham, the Exodus, and the flight of the Holy Family. This thesis traces the historical trajectory of the movement of the Syro-Malabar Christians from Kerala to metropolitan centers such as Delhi, highlighting the Socio-economic motivations of these migrations and the resulting pastoral challenges. A significant part of this work is presented to the Diocese of Faridabad, analyzing its evolution since its establishment in 2012 and its diverse pastoral responses, such as multilingual liturgical celebrations, the formation of special ministries for youth and women, and the expansion of mission stations across northern India. Ultimately, the document proposes a future pastoral vision that emphasizes culture, ecumenical dialogue, and the protection of human rights, with the goal of transforming migrants from passive recipients of care to active heroes of mission and community.
